Hyun Lee is a survivor of metastatic breast cancer and a licensed acupuncturist as well as a nationally-certified herbalist. She uses a combination of acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs to support breast cancer patients in various stages of their illness. (For more on acupuncture and breast cancer, click here.)
Hyun also has years of experience treating patients with various other conditions – such as muscular and joint pain, infertility and menstrual irregularities, gastrointestinal problems, seasonal allergies, anxiety, and insomnia.
Hyun earned her Masters degree at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York and is a New York State-licensed and nationally board-certified acupuncturist. She is trained in the Kiiko Matsumoto-style of Japanese acupuncture and has also trained with leading kampo practitioner Nigel Dawes in kampo herbal medicine. She also uses the technique of myofascial trigger point release to treat tendinomuscular pain.
Hyun maintains a comprehensive pharmacy of classical formulas that are conveniently prescribed in the form of granular herbal extracts. They are subject to stringent GMP standards and quality control and are therefore safe and approved for sale in the United States by the FDA.
Hyun is an LGBT-friendly practitioner and fluent in Korean.
